The 7 Laws of Inner Peace
Among the many resolutions we've made this new year, no one would argue that becoming more peaceful is perhaps among the most important. That lofty goal is greatly helped by a new book by Constance d'Angelis.
In her book, The 7 Laws of Inner Peace, published in 2008, Constance outlines 7 steps to overcoming conflict and changing your life. The book includes guidelines and exercises to easily adapt the 7 laws and through exercises, readers can shift from confused to peaceful,
from enraged to giving, from fearful to loving.
The book also includes a list of 7 acts of inner peace that should definitely be added to every New Year's resolution list:
Be still - Spend 15 minutes every day in stillness and breathe.
Laugh - Tell jokes and/or laugh out loud and smile at least one time per day.
Listen - Open your mind and heart to someone's story without judgment.
Keep opinions to yourself - Do not share your viewpoint unless asked.
Stop complaining - Do not utter a negative thought verbally.
Un-clutter - Clean, clear out, and/or clear up any space that is cluttered - a closet, drawer, room, desk, care, or papers, files, magazines, or computer games stacked or lying about.
Be willing to lose - Failure is a part of life. Having to be right and win are the hallmarks of unconciousness. Wake up!
